林荣呈,男,博士,研究员,博士生导师。

1996年和1999年在华中农业大学分别获学士和硕士学位,2002年在中国科学院植物研究所获博士学位。2002年至2008年在美国康奈尔大学汤普森植物研究所进行博士后研究。2008年5月到中国科学院植物研究所工作,2013年终期评估获得优秀;2013年获国家杰出青年科学基金资助,2014年获中国科学院青年科学家奖和第五届中国侨界创新人才贡献奖,2015年被评为中国科学院优博论文优秀指导教师。现任植物所副所长兼植物所光生物学重点实验室主任,植物所学术委员会委员,中国植物学会青年工作委员会副主任。在Science、PNAS、Plant Cell、Nature Communications、Plant Physiology等期刊发表SCI收录论文30余篇。

主要研究工作:

“万物生长靠太阳”,太阳光既为植物光合作用提供能量,也是植物一种重要的环境因子。植物也有“眼睛”,能精确分辨太阳光的波长、方向、强度和周期等信息,并告诉自己如何生长发育去适应环境。

课题组综合运用植物生理学、遗传学、生物化学、分子生物学、细胞生物学、基因组学和生物信息学等学科及其手段,主要研究(1)植物如何感知和传递光的信息,并调控叶绿体发育、形态建成、生物钟和开花等重要生理过程;(2)叶绿素合成途径的功能与分子调控;(3)植物对强光的响应和适应机制,尤其是光与活性氧信号的交互作用。通过挖掘与解析重要基因的分子和生化功能,期望建立信号调控网络,为深入揭示植物与光的关系,及其对光的利用奠定基础。

课题组在光精细调控叶绿素合成(Tang et al., 2012 Plant Cell;Tang et al., 2013 Plant Physiology)、光与活性氧信号的互作(Chen et al.,2013 Plant Cell)、光形态建成(Jing et al., 2013 Plant Cell;Li et al., 2014 Plant Physiology;Zhang et al., 2014 Plant Cell)、以及RNA编辑(Zhang et al., 2014 PNAS)等方面取得了重要进展。
