男，1964年生。1986获北京农业大学学士学位，1989年获北京农业大学硕士学位， 1997年获中国科学院地理研究所自然地理学博士学位。1997年晋升为中国科学院地理研究所副研究员。

研究领域和研究方向：

自然地理学综合研究、土壤地理、土地利用/土地覆被变化、土地资源优化配置

学术成就：

主持和主要参加完成了国家自然科学面上基金、国家自然科学重点基金、国家重点基础研究和发展规划项目(973)和国家科技攻关项目30余项。作为主要研究者的参与的项目“西部典型区土地整理生态评价的指标体系和方法”于2005年获国土资源科学技术2等奖。已发表论文和参与专著编写70余篇（部）。
