研究介绍
有研究指出:人通过视觉获得的知识占百分之八十三。最近二十年,视觉传感器在工业,科研,和日常生活上的广泛应用,正深切的改变着人们的生活方式。视觉相关的研究已经成为学术界最炙手可热的话题。然而,多数视觉系统中使用的相机的处理速度仍受限于视频信号格式(例如,NTSC 30 fps, PAL 25 fps)。普通的视觉系统并不能用来分析高速运动和高速物理现象。然而,大量人类视觉系统不能感知的高速现象等待我们解开它们神秘的面纱。近年来,离线高速相机已经开始应用在工业,科研领域。通常这些离线高速相机可以工作在几百到数千帧,将高速现象采集到相机自带的内存中,然后再离线传回到 PC 进行后处理。这种离线相机系统可以解决一些高速现象的分析问题,比如分析汽车撞击实验,发动机点火瞬间的燃烧效率分析等等。但离线高速相机有两个无法逾越的限制:1)受限于离线高速相机自身内存的限制,离线视频通常只能够存储几秒到十几秒的视频数据;2)离线高速相机只能用以分析高速运动现象,并不能作为实时的视觉传感器使用。造成这两个限制的原因是:1)受到图像采集设备和处理设备之间的数据带宽限制,高速图像即使可以采集到千帧以上的视频数据,并不能实时传回处理设备来进行基于视觉的反馈控制;2)即使可以将图像传回图像处理设备,要每秒处理数千帧的图像数据,也几乎是不可能完成的任务。然而,近年来在工业,医学,细胞分析等领域对于实时高速视觉反馈有着强劲的需求。在这些应用中,我们需要实时在线分析高速运动的物体,并做出毫秒乃至微秒级别的反馈速度。
顾庆毅研究员长期从事高速视觉理论及应用的研发,在高速视觉硬件处理算法方面有近十年的理论及技术积累,成功的实现了多个工作在1000帧/秒的实时视觉反馈控制系统,包括快速目标追踪、高通量细胞筛选、高速3D视觉等。相信实时高速视觉传感技术可以极大的提高工业自动化的生产效率,也有潜力为高尖端科研项目带来突破性进展。
